A warm "Grüß Gott" - the regional greeting here in Bavaria - dear visitors,
our young enthusiastic team and me, we are looking forward
hosting you. In the various
stations of the international hotel industry, from Indonesia to the Baltic and Hamburg, I gathered rich experience in hospitality and it is a pleasure to return to southern Germany and create for you a pleasant and relaxing stay in our house. And of course, it is a very honourful challenge to continue and create a part of the tradition in a historical house such as the "Schwarze Bock".
Palatonians have a long tradition in Ansbach: as Max Joseph - later King Max I. of Bavaria - came 1789 from Palatonia Zweibrücken to Ansbach, so I have Palatonian roots but also attachment to the Franconian and Bavarian tradition by my husband; of course we do not want to compeete with the career of Max I., but some Palatine dishes and wines I will be happy to serve. Some you will find at the seasonal menue: the famous Pfälzer Saumagen - which is closely related to the Franconian Pressack - or try our Flammkuchen Ansbacher style, in which Ansbacher sausage is married in a unique way to the Pfälzer Flammkuchen.
If you have questions or suggestions, please contact me directly I would be happy for your feedback: direct in our house, by mail or telephone.

Sincerely yours
Meike Appel-Fuhrmann and family
